Casey McDonald, who performs under the name
“Casey Max” now from Romulus, NY, was the opening act for headliners
like BB King, Billy Preston and Average White Band. He performed
on Broadway at Town Hall and produced his own television show, “Casey
TV” which broadcasted in Lancaster, PA. Casey returned to his hometown of Romulus in
2004 after entertaining in Nevada, New York City and Hollywood
California. “Now my youngest child is graduating from my alma mater
where her cousins attend. All of my siblings graduated from RCS where my
Dad was high school principal in the 1970’s. We have history here
that can’t be found anywhere else on earth.” Casey’s siblings have achieved considerable
fame in their own right. Peter, also from Romulus, is a regional
bluegrass entertainer. Mary has adorned opera stages across the
USA while Daniel, who died in 2007, was a star of Broadway and received
a Tony nomination for his role in “Steel Pier”. Casey’s most
famous sibling is actor Christopher McDonald who is best known for his
role of Shooter McGavin in “Happy Gilmore”. Casey returns to show business in his Casey
Max band. In the past two years, Casey has performed with the
Ageless Jazz Band and with the DixieKats, both from Ithaca, NY.
“It was very satisfying to perform with these great groups” Casey says.
“Now I am exploring both musical and performance styles that invoke the
great live performances of old. The styles of Al Jolson, Cab
Calloway, Sammy Davis Jr. and Louis Armstrong are a huge part of our
American entertainment heritage. As Casey Max, I bring crowds into
this bigger than life, live musical phenomenon. It’s the kind of
show where you can bring your parents, bring your kids and dance with
your sweetheart like it was your first date.” |
